Ben Lucas will lead engineering efforts for growing utility company
ST. LOUIS (November TK, 2021) – Central States Water Resources (CSWR), one of the top 15 largest water and sewer investor-owned utilities in the U.S., today announced the promotion of engineer Ben Lucas to the vital role of Construction Manager. Lucas will oversee construction projects across more than seven states.
“We’re thrilled to bring Ben into this new role,” said Josiah Cox, president of CSWR. “Ben has been essential to our recent work in Louisiana, our largest market, and his response during Hurricane Ida was vital to continuing service to our customers there. I greatly appreciate Ben’s efforts, and I’m happy to have him take the lead on our work to improve water and wastewater infrastructure.”
Lucas started with CSWR as an intern before graduating from the Louisiana State University College of Engineering. His advancement comes as CSWR continues to grow its footprint, investing more than $100 million in 320 plants in seven states.
“I’m honored to take on this new responsibility, and I’m ready to hit the ground running,” said Lucas. “Construction is a vital part of our work to bring safe, reliable water and sewer to small, distressed water and wastewater systems throughout the country. We’re ready to make improvements that our customers will notice in the quality and reliability of their water and sewer utilities.”
