Stephens brings a decade of operations experience to his new role in the Lone Star State
SAINT LOUIS, MO (November 20, 2021) – Central States Water Resources (CSWR), one of the top 15 largest water and sewer investor-owned utilities in the U.S., today announced the hiring of Karl Stephens as the regional manager of Texas operations. In his new role, Stephens will oversee all operations and maintenance for the state to fulfill the company’s commitment to provide safe and reliable wastewater services.

Stephens has ten years of experience in water and wastewater utilities, starting as a wastewater treatment plant operator in Conroe, Texas. Most recently, Stephens worked as an area manager for Aqua America, Inc., where he managed operations and maintenance throughout the Northeast. With CSWR, Stephens will lead daily operations, oversee response to droughts, hurricanes and other natural disasters, and work with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to improve water systems for generations to come.
