ST. LOUIS (May 24, 2022) – Central States Water Resources (CSWR), one of the 15 largest investor-owned water and wastewater utilities in the U.S., today announced that geologist Derek Nees has joined the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) division as project manager.
Nees will coordinate efforts between the EH&S group, which manages water and wastewater utility operations across 10 states, and CSWR’s engineering, customer service, other internal departments as well as with external partners.
“Derek is an exceptional collaborator,” said Jo Anna McMahon, CSWR’s Director of Environmental, Health & Safety. “He will help ensure our most critical teams are in lockstep, assuring we deliver on our promise to provide safe and reliable water and wastewater.”
A native of De Soto, Mo., Nees spent the past 14 years as a project manager/geologist for Brotcke Well & Pump in Fenton, Mo.
“I’m thrilled to work with accomplished water and wastewater pros like Jo Anna, Todd Thomas and Josiah Cox,” Nees said. “I’ve spent the past 14 years leading multi-million-dollar water well projects from cradle to grave. I believe that experience will aid CSWR’s promise to support the communities who need us so much.”
